Dr. Ashish Bacchav attended Grant Medical College, Mumbai as an undergraduate and then did his post-graduate DNB surgical training in Ophthalmology from World renowned Aravind Eye Hospital, Tamil Nadu where he subsequently completed long term fellowship in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Following this extensive training in Corneal and Refractive Surgery, he further honed his skills by teaching surgeries and training SICS and Phaco at Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli to International and National students.
Since then, he has been a Consultant Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery at Aravind Eye Hospital – Tirunelveli, Vasan Eye Care Hospital – Hyderabad, Vasan Eye Care Hospital – Vashi and Sankara Eye Hospital – Malad, Vasan Eye Care Hospital Thane, which are premier Eye Care hospitals and Teaching Institutes in India. He has been regularly performing various Cornea, Cataract and LASIK surgery procedures spanning the wide spectrum of Ophthalmic Surgeries.
He is presently working at his own hospital – Ekanth Eye Hospital and Laser Centre Thane
He is also attached at MGM Hospital Vashi as a Visiting Consultant Cornea and Refractive Surgery
He is also involved with HelpMeSee as a Consultant Lead Instructor and Simulation Subject Matter Expert in simulation development in Cataract Surgery.
Dr. Bacchav also has several scientific presentations and publications to his credit and is on the National Advisory Board for Dry Eyes. He has an experience of over 10000 complicated and advanced Ophthalmic surgeries.
